Expressive Interface “Expressive forms like emoticons, sounds, icons, and virtual agents have been used at the interface to (i) convey emotional states and/or (ii) elicit certain kinds of emotional responses in users, such as feeling at ease, comfort, and happiness.” (Preece, Yvonne, & Sharp, 2015) Reflection on the Topic 1. Expressive interface can be understood as using expression of human like smiling, angry, sad face, etc. and make them into designs that can communicate back with users when using products. 2. “An expressive control interface system that enables users to author and control a 3D virtual avatar and its motion is needed.
