Augmented Reality Interface
Augmented Reality Interface
Augmented
reality is “where virtual representations are superimposed on physical devices
and objects and mixed
reality, where views of the real world are combined with views of a virtual environment”.
(Preece, Yvonne, & Sharp, 2015)It is the interface where things are
made visualized in front of our eyes, even the impossible things that we cannot
set out real eyes on, and made them visible using images and graphic
presentations.
Reflection on the Topic
1. Augmented reality interface is one
kind of interface that use graphic images and make them visible. It is helpful
with medical field like X-rays or CT scan. It also makes things imagination
become more realistic, like Google Glass or simple TV at home. ((Preece et al., 2015). Through that visual, people feel
like the really in the scenario and can make decisions or interactions with
things around. Pokemon Go is an example.
2. “inserts virtual objects and
information into the real world, augmenting the user’s experience of it via a
smart device that, ideally, is as unobtrusive as possible.”(Higgins, 2017)
3.
(Staff, 2010)
My Thought
“New
interfaces that extend beyond the individual user: supporting small- and
large-scale social interactions for people on the move, at home, and at work.” (Preece et al., 2015)
“train as
you work, work as you train”(Higgins,
2017)
