User-centered Approach

User-centered Approach
User-centered approach is focused “real users and their goals, not just technology, are the driving force behind product development. As a consequence, a well-designed system will make the most of human skill and judgment, will be directly relevant to the activity in hand, and will support rather than constrain the user”(Preece, Yvonne, & Sharp, 2015)

Reflection on the Topic

1.      User- centered approach mean the products and developments of any products need to guide toward the users because the main reason why products are made is for users. So, making sure the products are effective and worked for users is the goal.
2.      “Understand the context of use product as a reason for distinguishing requirements
3.      and evaluate the product”, “understand and specify the user requirements in a reasonable way which can be surveyed for accomplishment”(Rizdania Dermawi, Herman Tolle, & Ismiarta Aknuranda, 2018)
4.      Example is using virtual reality and augmented reality to help create interaction learning for hearing-impaired students.(Ellingson et al., 2018)
5.      Using cartoon with chemicals as characters will increase desire for learning of students (Hero Khan, 2013)

My Thought

“Users’ tasks and goals are the driving force behind the development.”(Preece et al., 2015)
“using user-centered design is the way to future business accomplishment for the product being created”(Rizdania Dermawi et al., 2018)
